Wireless and Education In additional to driving technical innovation, Universities are driving business innovation around wireless programs. In advance of the wireless deployment in Forsyth County, Wake Forest University partnered with WinstonNet to create an MBA course, titled Creativity and Feasibility of a Wireless Community Network. Student teams explored issues and developed program concepts related to cultural, social and economic development aspects of pervasive wireless. Professors and students are our lead researchers in quantifying the gaps and measuring progress towards addressing digital inclusion and access. Dr. Stan Mandel, Executive Professor and Director of the Angell Center for Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Jay Dominick, Wake Forest University Assistant Vice President and CIO, taught the class. Students were divided into teams, conducted interviews with experts in the fields of arts, education, digital inclusion and business. They also did extensive research on municipal wireless projects throughout the country. Here are the student’s final papers based on the issue of sustainability.
